Re-Think Agriculture as a Career choice

SOBBA over the course of our operations noticed a waning interest and enthusiasm among school going students for a choice of career in agriculture. This prompted SOBBA to host a 1 day symposium on the theme, Re-Think Agriculture as a Career choice. The symposium attracted 140 students and 40 teachers from 70 schools around the Freetown Vicinity. The Panelist included the Chief Agriculture officer, the Chief Education Officer and SOBBA Team who made presentations aimed at re-engaging the students in taking up agriculture as a career. Non-Governmental Organizations and other agricultural bodies.

SOBBA made a compelling case for students to become involved in agriculture and the need for the younger generation of Sierra Leoneans to explore the possibility of becoming farmers or take up careers in other farming ancillary jobs.
