SOBBA is a registered seed company that cultivates seeds and suckers (improved and local varieties) that are noted as improved vareities fit for consupmtion or breeding by Sierra Leone's Seed Quality Control Unit (SQCU) of the Ministry of agriculture, Forestry and Food Security (MAFFS). Rice- Lowland (IVS) Nerica 19, Upland Nerica 3, Upland Nerica 4- Rice is the staple grain crop for Sierra Leone and almost 60% of the global population. Its the crop with the widest consumption purposes as opposed to corn which has other alternate uses in biofuels and feed.

CowPea- Slipea 1, Slipea 2, Slipea 3-These varieties have been cultivated on SOBBA farms over the last three years. The seeds and the leaves are a major source of protein in the nutrition of the African diet.

Maize/Corn- M13-012-EVFL SR-Y western yellow- maize has been as one of the main important sources of starch for nutritional purposes and is a sort after produce for major international agricultural bodies and NGOs. SOBBA has been cultivating both the sweet corn varitey for human consumption and the field corn to augment the animal feed industry.

Cassava- is the second most consumed crop in Sierra Leone and the West Africa Sub region. SOBBA has cultivated Slicass 4 & Slicass 5 vareities and have been able to market cuttings to clients including farmers for further multiplication.
